I’ve been listening to this book, Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management for Mortals by Oliver Burkeman unrelated to the work I’m doing on the blog and a key takeaway is that, in the grand scheme of things, whatever you do won’t matter.
That’s not to make you feel bad about yourself, but to think of it as a relief. If you realize that you won’t make a dent in the universe, you’ll stop putting so much pressure on yourself to “change the world” or “write the best novel ever” or “create the wildly successful blog.”
Perhaps, then you’ll realize that some things you’re already doing are impactful. Spending time with your loved ones has meaning. Giving a stranger a compliment is impactful. Writing that novel anyway is impactful even if it only touches five other people. That’s five other people that were influenced by what you wrote.
To be clear, that doesn’t mean to not do good work or attempt to achieve your ambitious goals, but to keep it in perspective. They’re not the end all be all.

However, no one talks about how hard it is not to put pressure on yourself. Good Post!
